- The Official Rubik's Cube World Record - Minh Thai: A sixteen year-old Vietnamese American high school student from Los Angeles, won the world championship in Budapest (June 1982) by unscrambling the Rubik's Cube in 22.95 seconds.
- Tara House (Atlanta, GA) - The original home in Gone With The Wind and a national historic site and museum, sits on the site previously operated as a Vietnamese restaurant by Mr. & Mrs. Truyen The Pham.
