NEWPORT BEACH CA- The Vietnamese American National Gala™ (VANG™) announces that it will commemorate its 5th year anniversary by hosting its biennial celebration of Vietnamese Americans in Los Angeles, California from May 22-24, 2009. VANG™ embraces Vietnamese American heritage and pride by bringing together hundreds of Vietnamese American luminaries, including elected officials, corporate sponsors, influential community and business leaders– all who come together to share one common vision: To honor America's best and brightest. The event will culminate with the highly anticipated annual Oscar®-like black-tie Gala, which this year take's place at the prestigious Beverly Hills Hilton, home to the Golden Globe® Awards.

HOUSTON, TX — The stars shined in the Lone Star State, feted Texas-style in a gathering with nearly 500 people cheering their work this past weekend at the fourth annual Vietnamese American National Gala.

 HOUSTON, TX - "Thank you very much Chau Nguyen. Congratulations for doing an excellent job emceeing this evening.  I was not born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could! (Applause).  In fact, when Martha and I learned that VANG was going to hold its 2007 Gala in Houston, we decided to move to Texas.  (Applause).  We forgot to get off in Houston, so we ended up in San Antonio.  (Laughter).  But fear not, we are only three hours from each other."
